His 8+ years of experience as a Staff Sergeant in the US Army has given him unique perspectives on leadership and culture. Dr. Yen is the co-creator of Kingdom Culture Leadership, an experiential leadership program, that has been utilized by hundreds of organizations across numerous countries and empowered thousands of participants. He values fun and humor in his work, believing that knowing how to laugh at the complexity of life makes the journey that much more enjoyable.
Dr. Yen is a psychologist, consultant, and CEO of Pivot, a consulting firm dedicated to optimizing people and organizations. He holds a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in consultation from Azusa Pacific University, practicing in the San Francisco East Bay area and leading conferences and retreats around the globe. He is the author of the best-selling book “Choose Better: The Optimal Decision-Making Framework.” He has worked on consulting projects with non-profit organizations and companies like Boston Consulting Group, Hudson Pacific Properties, Nova Credit, and Harvard Business Review to address topics like improving critical thinking skills and mental health in the workplace.
